Looking ahead on GeorgieNink.com

Hello, dear ones.
Today’s post is a short one. I’m popping in to say that I’ll be changing up my posting schedule here on GeorgieNink.com (and Medium!).
Instead of posting something new every Sunday, as I’ve been doing this past year, I’ll be posting once every few weeks or month. This change will allow me not only to creatively stretch out and perhaps do deeper dives or longer stories when I feel like it, but also to spend some of my weekly writing time to work towards some of my longer term goals!
Over the last year, my weekly writing time went towards writing my Sunday posts, or curating them from past pieces I’d written. I didn’t mind that at all, because I love writing to you directly here, and hearing your thoughtful ideas and comments back.
I love the immediacy and intimacy of this space.
No agents, publishers, contracts, months-long publishing timeframes…okay, admittedly, I don’t have any of those things anyway, BUT STILL: I like how it’s just you and me!
Then, in the past months, I realized that my longer term writing goals needed more love and attention than they were getting. Such as writing a book – dare I say that out loud? – attending a writing residency, or submitting shorter form work to publications.
I’m afraid to say the book thing out loud in case I try and then fail at it, and then you all judge me. But I’ve said it, and I trust you, and you probably wouldn’t judge me if I failed anyway, and we should all be gentler with ourselves!
I’m excited to work towards all these things while still showing up here consistently.
So: I’m not going anywhere. You’ll still find me right here at GeorgieNink.com, with new posts coming to you regularly.
(If you are an email subscriber, you’ll get these straight to your inbox and you’ll never miss a new one! Join the list here – it’s free.)
So here we go, Year 2!
And in case you missed it, my last post recapped my first year of writing here – the stats, top stories, and what I’m proudest of: GeorgieNink.com Turns 1 Year.
Thanks so much for being here!
